Fantastica. La struttura della testa è davvero molto insolita. Sono associate a formiche?

Durante le nostre ricerche compaiono di solito sotto a grosse pietre anche fortemente interrate, e quando ci sono loro ci sono anche le Typhloreicheie mentre vagliando lettiera e terriccio a me per esempio non sono mai usciti

Un altro spettacolo della natura :shock:

Complimenti per la fauna che potete trovare.....e per l'averla trovata !!

Ci si può chiedere che cavolo di funzione possano avere quelle spine ai lati del capo

Un altro pselafide "da urlo" che posso finalmente vedere da foto.....

Did you catch this beetle yourself? Where does it live? Forest-steppes, forests, steppes, rocks...?

I Paramaurops sono Pselaphinae endogei e anoftalmi. In Sardegna sono note attualmente 5 specie, tutte endemiche e più o meno localizzate; la più diffusa è P. sardous, nota di una dozzina di località nella Sardegna centrale e nord-occidentale. Raccolta sotto un grosso sasso interrato. Lunghezza circa 2,5 mm Scusate le foto scadenti.

Vive tra i detriti vegetali, e nel terriccio sotto le pietre.
