# 2785 captured in the forest of Montmorency - Cne : Chauvry (Dépt. Val d'Oise - France) - august 08, 1993 - Lenght : about 11.5 mm.
......... This Abia does not pre-apical tooth (at x40 magnification), this is the case for all captures of this species that I've done

this species cannot be confused with another, because :
- The body is black (with can be purplished reflections) except the white metanotum (black in the male).
- Cell 1M entirely darkened.
- Antennae black (the apex which can be red dark, see the photograph below)

Here # 1824 captured at an altitude of about 940 m. in Cne : Le-Petit-Abergement (Dépt. Ain - France) - july 13, 1986 - Length : about 11.5 mm.
This Abia does not pre-apical tooth (at x40 magnification).
To compare I added in reduction the # 2785 (female of A. fasciata)

# 1824 : Very clear variety or aberration ?
