Oggetto del messaggio:  Abia (Zaraea) aurulenta Sichel 1856 ♀ - Cimbicidae - Abiinae

Capture in ‘’Forêt des Moussières’’ (Dépt. Ain) - Altitude 940 m - 18 VII 1986
---
Comment on the joined photos : The 3 1st antennal segments are red stained with black, but this sees itself very bad on our photos (I did not manage to do better)
---
A very thanks to gomphus (maurizio Pavesi) who translated to me the description of the Abdomen, of the Latin of Sichel (1865)
-------
Determination of Genus, see : download/file.php?id=158414
---
This Abia (Zaraea) does not has pre-apical Tooth (at x40 magnification)

The descriptions of this species are always incomplete (as regards the long hairs on the Abdomen), even inaccurate (as regards the color of Tergite 1)
There are maybe 2 var. :
* Our Capture :
- Tergite 1 white
- Forewings with bands or spots brown-reddish very weak.
* Species well identified seen on the Net (but the photos are never really sharp) or on our Forum :
- Tergite 1 not cleared (to see for example : download/file.php?id=39773 ) or cleared up (but not white)
- Forewings with bands or spots brown-reddish intensify

- Tergite 1 white (see photo of the dorsal view of the imago as a whole)
- Very long hairs (see photo) on the part of the body extending of the apex of Scutellum to the basal segments of Abdomen
- The 3 1st antennal segments red stained with black
are enough to identify our capture
----
aurulenta was also captured in Italy
