Determination of Tribe
Dolerinae, see :
http://www.entomologiitaliani.net/public/forum/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=370&t=21257&hilit=tenthredinidae
-
Being given the entirely black coloring of the insect, we can hesitate between
Dolerus &
Loderus palmatus.
The distinction is made on the shape of the sawsheat (see drawing from
Berland & photo)
Thus, it is a
Dolerus---
To determine the species we used 2 keys.
At first with
Berland’s key [verified with
Enslin’s key] :
- Body entirely black (included Antennae).
- Sawsheat dorsally not widened apically.
- Posterior furrow of the median lobe of Mesonotum forming an angle lower than 90°.
Then with
Haris’s key :
- The distance between the tips of the longest Hairs is bigger than the dorsal width of the Sawsheat and these Hairs are not apically curved.
[For Dolerinae, the shape of the Sawsheat and especially the form of its hairs are very often specific criteria]
- Clypeus deeply emarginated (almost to a depth of half of its total length).
Where from my determination
=====
The species was captured in numerous European countries, but according to
Haris it is sporadic.
