The key the easiest to use is the one of Berland, reorganization of that of Enslin.

Our capture has :
- No median cell (1M) closed on the Hindwings.
- The Thorax black & red.

Only 2 European species have these characteristics, they belong to the Genus Eutomostethus (= Tomostethus sensu Berland)
It is a question of :
- sanguinicollis (Mocsáry), of which the Scutellum & the Postscutellum are red.
- ephippium, of which the Scutellum & the Postscutellum are black.
