Determination of sub-Family Dolerinae, see :
Our capture has the Tegulae & the Legs entirely black.
Thus, it is a
Dolerus------
*
Determination of speciesCharacteristics of our capture :
Body entirely black, except the Cenchri.
Antennae with segment 3 longer than segment 4 (see photo).
Sawsheat not widened to the apex.
The longest hairs of the Sawsheat are curved (curvature not null) on everything their length.
The angle α formed by the 2 tangents to the longest hairs of the Sawsheat (see photo) is obtuse.
Only 2 European species may have these characteristics or be confused, namely :
fumosus &
megapterus.
Sawsheat of
megapterus (as the drawing from
Haris) :
All the hairs are curved
and the distance between the apex of the longest hairs is short.
These 2 characteristics are not the ones of our capture, thus this one is the species
fumosus (
Was not captured in Italy)
[According to
Haris this species is sporadic in Europe, and it seems that the south of Dépt. of Ain is the south limit of this species in Europe]
