n° 2981 (♀) & n° 2982 (♂) at an altitude of about 940 m. in Cne : Le-Petit-Abergement (Dépt. Ain - France) - 05.06.1995
- ♂ & ♀ captured at the same time and at the same place, posed on inflorescences of white Umbelliferae.
- Although not copulating I think that it is about the same species .

One finds that it is a Tenthredininae .
According to Benson p.109/112 : one is in the presence of a tenthredopsis, because the 2 insects have :
- The 1st tergite does not have a medial furrow (which I could not photo because of the poor quality of my camera)
- The forms of the clypeus (to see my photos).
- The drawings on the abdomens are caracteritic.
According to Berland p. 143 it is T. tesselata
If one had used the keys of Blank & Ritzau, one would have arrived at the same result.
Thus :
Tenthredopsis tesselata (Klug 1817) (♂ & ♀)
