# 4524 ♀ captured at an altitude of about 415 m. in Cne : Anost (Dépt. Saône-et-Loire - France) - 05.06.2008

This capture is Tenthredo s.l..
- The abdomen is black & red and without white spot on each side of 1st tergite (see photo)
- The antennae are black & white.
It thus acts of sub-genus Tenthredella.
- The stigma is yellowish-brown (dark-brown for balteata Klug)
- There is nether whitish spot on metapleuron nor on coxa 3

eburneifrons Kirby (= lichtwardti Konow) (unknown in France and Italy) has a whitish spot on coxa 3.

- The last tergites are not black (except for the var. laticincta Stephens)
- The antennae with segments : 1/5 black - 6/7 white - 8/9 sometimes blackened (as our capture)

the antennae of eburnifrons can have same colouring.

Finally :
Tenthredo (Tenthredella) ferruginea Schrank 1776 ♀ Che vive anche in Italia
Nota :
You remark (photo 4524) the spectacular round notch to the base of clypeus.
To compare I added the photos of 2 clypeus of the same species ♀

- photo 4523 (of bad quality) : the notch is smaller.
- photo 4479 : only two black marks are present.

I did not find of citation of all this !
Although n° 4523 & 4524 are followed, the 2 captures were obtained neither at the same place nor at the same altitude (difference of 400 m.)

It is about the var. rufipennis Fabricius 1793, because the mesopleuron do not have spots whitish.
