# 2464 captured in a very wet depression of the ground, at an altitude of 690 m. in Cne : Chézery-Forens (Dépt. Ain - France) - 07.06.1992

A part of the Aglaostigma has the same habitus as Tenthredo s.l (with the abdomen dorsally red and black).
One distinguishes them especially, by their low size and by the width between their eyes who is much larger than the length of the clypeus (see photo).
Thus this capture is a Aglaostigma.

I follow the keys of Blank & Ritzau p.232/234.
- The hind wings do not have vein marginal.
- These wings have 2 enclosed middle cells.
- On each side of abdomen, a yellow band bordes the tergites (see photo).
- The median tergites are red.
- A part of the sternites are red (what excluded subalpinum).

[The criterion of colouring of the scutellum is far from being obvious !]

- It is a ♂.
- 2 yellow bands leave the base of the antennae, and arrive to each side of the fore ocellus (see photo).
One can add that the upper part of the mesopleurae is clear (see photo).

Finally :
Aglaostigma discolor (Klug, 1817) ♂ Che vive anche in Italia
