Ciao,

# 3471 captured along a wooded path, at the edge of the ponds of Lavilletertre (Dépt. Oise - France) - 24.04.2002

A part of the Aglaostigma has the same habitus as Tenthredo s.l (with the abdomen dorsally red and black).
One distinguishes them especially, by their low size and by the width between their eyes who is much larger than the length of the clypeus (see photo).
Thus this capture is a Aglaostigma.

I follow the keys of Blank & Ritzau p.232/234
- The hind wings do not have vein marginal.
- These wings have 2 enclosed middle cells.
- On each side of abdomen, there are not lateral yellow band bordering the tergites (see photo).
- Species red & black and the mesopleurae are black (see photo).
- The head is black and the posterior margins of pronotum & tegulae white-yellowish and femora 3 red.
- It is a ♀.
Attention, the clypeus of our capture is entirely black (see photo), but it is not always the case !

Finally :
Aglaostigma (Astochus) aucupariae (Klug 1817) ♀ Che vive anche in Italia

Saluti.

D & JP Balmer
