Capture in Cne : Le-Grand-Abergement (South of Dépt.of Ain, at an altitude of 895 m) - 06 VI 1992 ====== Biblio (main) : - Haris 2000 : in “Folia Entomologica Hungarica, LXI - p.95/148", Study on the Palaearctic Dolerus ... - Lacourt 1999 : in “Bull. Sté Ent. de France.- 92(7-8) - p.231/239", Description ... Dolerus … ----------- * Determination of sub-Family Dolerinae, see : Our capture has the Tegulae & the Legs entirely black. Thus, it is a Dolerus ------ * Determination of species
Characteristics of our capture :
Body entirely black, except the Cenchri. Antennae with segment 3 longer than segment 4 (see photo). Sawsheat not widened to the apex. The longest hairs of the Sawsheat are curved (curvature not null) on everything their length. The angle α formed by the 2 tangents to the longest hairs of the Sawsheat (see photo) is obtuse. Only 2 European species may have these characteristics or be confused, namely : fumosus & megapterus. Sawsheat of megapterus (as the drawing from Haris) : All the hairs are curved and the distance between the apex of the longest hairs is short. These 2 characteristics are not the ones of our capture, thus this one is the species fumosus (Was not captured in Italy) [According to Haris this species is sporadic in Europe, and it seems that the south of Dépt. of Ain is the south limit of this species in Europe]
