Thanks Silvano. I should precise a fact we can't see on the picture. The pygidium shows a strong and quite dense punctuation, and normally in P. nigritarsis the pygidium should be unpunctuate. Could it be P. fuscicornis instead? |

Yes, even the locality makes me think fuscicornis, which is reported by more western countries : Senegal, Togo, Guinea, Cameroon. Can you see if it is a female (two spines at the end of the front tibia) rather than a male (one spine)? So: Parapoderus fuscicornis (Fabricius, 1792) see also this. ![]() |

There are 2 spines at the apex of the front tibia, so it's a female. I have another specimen prepared and it's a female too. Thanks for the ID |
