 negli ultimi giorni sono stato fuori ... ma il tempo e stato pessimo, pioggia, freddo (!!!!! 12 C , in Dobrugia, alla fine di giugno !!!), vento. primo giorno è stato dedicato alla costa di Black Sea, alcuni kilemeters di spiagge selvagge... zona di Vadu. anche se il tempo era brutto ho riuscito a raccogliere alcuni insetti, questo e #1. una Sphenoptera, per favore non chiedere di pianta ospite  , solo questa femmina trovata , è possibile sapere di più?una foto più grande qui. grazie ! |

Sono abbastanza sicuro che sia una Sphenoptera, però alla specie non ci arrivo proprio

Sphenoptera (Chilostetha) sp.. Potrebbe essere S. laportei, ma in Romania ci dovrebbero essere altre specie del gruppo, su cui dovrei documentarmi. |

The only Chilostetha recorded in Romania are: epistomalis Obenberger, 1927; cauta Jakovlev,1904; parvula (Fabricius, 1798) and substriata Krynicki, 1834. 2 species are mentioned by Curletti (1994) in Romania, but without a distinctive locality and I pretend I have all published lists in Romania, starting from 1905. These 2 species are: Sph. jugoslavica Obenberger, 1926 and Sph. laportei Saunders, 1871. All I have for identification is the key made by Obenberger 1949. "Monografie des Sphénoptères du sous-genre Chilostetha B. Jak. (Col. Buprestidae). Acta. Emtomol. Mus. Nat. Prag. 26(359): 1-115. but I cannot identifiy by phone. |

going to sleep but before of this... just doing some browsing on internet and from mistake have seen that S.laportei has the host plant Dianthus. Remember that in that place wehere I have "mowed" the vegetation was made, except of grases, specially on some big Dianthus (don't know the species and because of the wind not tried to photograph, but because of the place is possible to see what species... but that will need some more research) and some Onobrychis (I guess). maybe this will be help more in direction of S.laportei?... a pdf with a complete description? now the weather seem to be better and I'm in the south-west part of Romania... hope that something good will come this days. |
