Oggetto del messaggio:  Stratiomys singularior (Harris 1776) ♂ & ♀ - Diptera - Stratiomyidae - Stratiomyinae

Ciao,

# 3566 Captured in Cne : Sérans (Dépt. Oise - France) - 08 07 2003 .
# 3567 Captured at the edge of a pond of Lavilletertre (Dépt. Oise - France) - 08 07 2003 .

Because of the habitus, these captures are Stratiomys.
- The Antennae are entirely black.
- The Scape is about 4 times as long as pedicel.
- The Tibiae are mainly black.
- The Abdominal side-markings are distinct & not very small.
- The Sternites are mainly black.
and
- 3566 is ♀, because the eyes are widely separed.
- 3567 is ♂, because the eyes are contiguous.

Then Stratiomys singularior ♂ & ♀ (Also known for Italy)

For the , I had asked on Diptera.info to confirm my identification.
Ruud van DER WEELE answered me, he had a doubt about the pilosity of the eyes.
Here the eyes are bare, thus it confirmed my identification
.

Saluti.
D & JP Balmer
