Amazing Mount Hermon. At the top - winter, January, the snow, 500-600 m below - February, with the first grass, daisies, and rare Glaphyridae and Cerambycidae, and then - March and April, and at the foot - the grass is yellow and dry (as in Europe in August .)

2012.04.27.Again Mt.Khermon. At the entrance to the point of catching the windshield began to ram the beetles. In the parking lot was - Broscus nobilis. Mass years. Caught with a net and picked up the asphalt. This is not seen and probably will not see. In the 16th hour, when we returned, the years had stopped and the story disappeared. In all other respects, like a week ago. Grass grew up. Appeared Phytoecia armeniaca. I caught a couple
On the way back drank a beer in the Syrian restaurant.

Hi Apollo, impressive reports
What do you normally use for killing beetles?

I do not understand exactly the translation. If you ask: "What do you usually use to kill beetles? "- small, delicate and hairy beetles I kill nail polish remover to the nails on the basis of ethyl acetate Large beetles (Carabus, Blaps, etc.) can be put in the freezer. If you are asked "Why do I kill a lot of beetles" - a lot of orders

Thanks, yes I was asking about killing method... Sorry for my answer, I was just curious, some of your died beetles seem to me not to be killed in ethyl acetate cause their strange position with legs under body. Anyway a lot of interesting species :ok:

Hi Yuri,
the first Agapanthia starting from the left side is from the Epoptes subgenus.
the red Helladia i think are Helladia armeniaca Frivaldszky, 1878
