Hi Umit, for me the spider is a Lycosidae, and maybe Pirata genus. About your apparent dead (thanatosis)
it's a defensive behaviour, much common between many spiders, but I didn't know about the oral fluid secretion :?

Hi Claudio ;)
Thank youu...
Pirate genus with 4 species known in Turkey. Maybe we can find species. :)
Pirata hygrophilus Thorell, 1872
Pirata insularis Emerton, 1885
Pirata piraticus (Clerck, 1757)
Pirata tenuitarsis Simon, 1876

Knowing oral fluid flowing out hopefully. I'm very curious. Does stomach fluid extract? or something else ..
Maybe someone knowledgeable expert writer.

Thanks again...

Can you give us the dimension of the spider?
Pirata is a small spider, while yours looks like a big Lycosa.
I do not know about this behaviour in Lycosidae. In my opinion it rather looks hurted.

Leg spans an estimated 4-5 cm.
After this movement stood up, Waited a little dazed status and he walked.
I recorded the video.

This should confirm the genus Lycosa, but I don't know this spider.
Funny the behaviour of playing the dead.
I rather think it was hurted and, after a short rest, it rised up again,

Hi again,
I'm talking about the dead (Akinase) and oral fluids.
What is that liquid you think?
Is this behavior is commonly observed?
