Quando vola questo Malachiidae mostra il dorso dell'addome rosso, e fa lo "Spirito Santo" prima di posarsi sulle spighe delle graminacee.
Lunghezza ca. 6,5 mm.

Hello!!! I think it looks like to a female of Malachius australis Mulsant & Rey 1867 (especially due to the shape of the antennal segments 3 and 4). I do not believe it belongs to the genus Clanoptilus, nor to the species C. strangulatus (now, from 2011, Anthomalachius strangulatus). saluti a tutti !!! George |
