A rare insect, so far known as endemic of Turkey (Asian part), but as it seems, there is also in Greece. Several females were found, on shaking the stems of reeds, at the bank of a small stream. The males probably appear much earlier. An unique male (winged - in poor condition) was found in a different locality of Greece, along with some females (wingless), at 15 / III / 2009. Length 3.3 mm.  George

Nice beetle  . Amazing how different are the various species of genus Anthocomus from each other. Maybe it is not a single one. G.

Yes, most probably you have absolutely right. In addition, the existing subgenera of Anthocomus are very vaguely defined, so many of the species are impossible to place in a subgenus with certainty. It takes a lot of work here ...
