Ultimo boccettino papuano, con alcune bestiole davvero carine ...per quanto ignote. Ad esempio questo piccolo coleottero (sui 3-4 mm.) dove onestamente non riesco neanche ad avere delle certezze sulla famiglia ...  (Le indicazioni esatte di cattura le inserisco più tardi...ora sto facendo tutto dal telefonino  ) |

E invece hai azzeccato  . E' uno dei millantamila Carphurus o genere prossimo di quelle parti. Ne hai postato altre specie in precedenza, e anche con questa è praticamente impossibile tirarne fuori qualcosa.  G.

yes, I totally agree with Gabriele. Perhaps this is Microcarphurus sp. (with these expansions on the shoulders of the elytrae). I don't know if Microcarphurus remains an independent genus or it is now part of the genus Carphurus. There is a big paper about Malachiidae of New Guinea, from Wittmer (1973), mainly on Carphurus and related genera : http://hbs.bishopmuseum.org/pi/pdf/15(3)-289.pdf (if you want to read it, please copy-paste this address in a new window).
