Nascosti tra le grinze della corteccia di due diversi giovani olmi morenti/morti di recente. Diametro tronco 25-30 cm
Trovati a mezzanotte cercando con torcia nei pressi di Casal Novo in Toscana 60 m.
Sono lucanidae?

not Lucanidae. Trogossitidae, I think Temnochila caerulea (Olivier, 1790), another here. in Greece found this under Pinus bark. cosmln |

It´s Temnoscheila sp. (Trogossitidae). In Catalogue of Palearctic Coleoptera is only Temnoscheila tristis from Italy. But I don´t what is different between T. caerulea and T. tristis. |

I've found it, but... caerulea or tristis

l'ho copiato dalla pagina della checklist senza controllare altro  ... non so perché scrivono 1835, non è nemmeno la data dell'emendazione di Erichson, che è il 1844; emendazione originariamente ingiustificata, ma come abbiamo visto, da trattarsi come giustificata
