Questa mosca maledetta che ho subito spiaccicato e incollato brutalmente mi ha fatto un male boia!!!
Questo il risultato: subitoqualche ore dopo...
E' un Simuliidae?

I ripetuti inviti ad indicare le dimensioni dei soggetti fotografati continuano a cadere nel vuoto...
A giudicare dalle antenne e dalla testa potrebbe essere, ma la venatura delle ali non è leggibile.

già già mi devo studiare una base millimetrata
Poi la misuro e ti dico comunque è una moschina che non supera i 5 mm ma il suo morso è notevole

Hi Jean-Pierre, please take another look. I have enlarged Marco's photo; for me, but obviously I may be wrong, these antennas are not a Tabanidae's antennas.
The habitus too for me is not the right one.

Only Tabanidae have this type of antennae.
By supposing that is true, then :
- It seems that the insect have not ocelli (?)
- The mouthparts are not very long (If not : Pangonius)
- The antennae have more than 7 segments (If not : Haematoponinae or Tabaninae)
According to Seguy - Fauna of France - n° 13 - 1926 - p.121-122-125 , the insect would be Silvinae (Nemorius sl. , Silvius sl. ou Chrysops sl.).
One cannot be precise any more because the photo of the 2 1st segments of antennae is fuzzy.

Well, thanks to your error I had to try to understand why you were saying so, as a result now I know a few things more than this morning and that is not a bad thing. Then maybe other people in the forum was intrigued by the discussion. One thing is almost sure: Simuliidae are not very well known.

My wife and me were attacked (at the edge of a brook of mountain) 2 years ago by hundreds of Simulies which attacked our eyes.
We felt the punctures during more than one week.
Only the smoke of cigar moved away them !
