Hi all, a little help with this one please, I found it in a temporar puddle. The lenght is about 3 mm.

Alexandru Difficult to say (for me at least). The closer species that I can guess is H. dorsalis (Marsham, 1802) which is not known for Romania. I warmly suggest to ask Robert Angus, you know him? |

This is what Robert Angus told me about this specimen: " I think this is probably a dark H. dorsalis Marsham. Usually this species has pale subapical and subhumeral marks on the elytra, but in central Europe uniformly dark specimens are not uncommon. The aedeagus looks right."
