Bestie incredibili. Chiuse a palletta hanno un aspetto molto simile a certi acari (Oribatida). |

Segnalo che la grafia corretta è Ebbrittoniella ignita (Westwood, 1883), come ho evidenziato nella mia revisione del 2000 (Ballerio, A. 2000. Revision of the genus Ebbrittoniella Martinez (Coleoptera: Scarabaeoidea: Ceratocanthidae). Revue suisse de Zoologie 107(2) : 259-275). Il nome deriva dalla dedica a E. B. Britton > Ebbritton > Ebbrittoniella. Un'immagine è disponibile anche nella sezione relativa all'ilustrazione entomologica (illustratori contemporanei, Jan Kobylak). |
