Le foto che seguono sono sufficienti a dargli un nome? Circa 20 mm,...campagna nei dintorni di Arzachena.

Direi anche io. Con quelle dimensioni sarebbe una Polycesta! Mi sa che vanno quasi dimezzate.

in effetti è probabile che abbiate ragione. forse era più piccolo. L'11 di giugno del 2011 ho trovato, ad una cinquantina di m di distanza dal luogo dove ho fotografato l'esemplare, un altro buprestide ..molto simile...

Infatti queste sono le sue dimensioni.

Cose che capitano quando si stimano le dimensioni di un insetto visto (o fotografato) in natura.
