Valle d'Aosta Pré Saint Didier N 45°45'56,1" E 6°59'04,9" 07/13.VIII.2010 m 1.022 leg. G. Ratto Questo e gli altri Buprestidi li ho raccolti tutti sulla staccionata in legno e sulle strutture di un piccolo parco giochi, come quello illustrato in foto. (Uno è atterrato sul terrazzo di casa!)

I think is more probable Buprestis (Buprestis) rustica Linnaeus 1758 ... I don't have a key for Buprestis  ... yet.cosmln |

Anche se il colore mi sembra un pochino alterato dalla foto, direi proprio che posso confermare la seconda determinazione di Cosmin: Buprestis (Buprestis) rustica Linné, 1758 |

Giovanni will have to have a look under the lateral margins of pronotum - whether there are yellow longitudinal stripes (= haemmorhoidalis) or not (= rustica) |

Giovanni, potresti fare un'altra foto dorsale, se ci riesci, più nitida (per migliorare la nitidezza devi usare diaframmi aperti il più possibile, o comunque cercare di non chiudere oltre 8) e, ancor più importante, una foto del lato ventrale, e magari del pronoto visto di lato? Così accertiamo definitivamente se è haemorrhoidalis o rustica. (vedo che nel frattempo qualcuno ha avuto la mia stessa idea!) |

Dunque dunque...la faccenda non mi sembra così semplice come pensavo! Ho postato uno solo dei quattro esemplari che ho catturato, pensando che fossero tutti la stessa specie. Può darsi che sia così ma, nel dubbio, li inserisco tutti, lato dorsale, ventrale e crop del pronoto visto lateralmente. Spero che le foto siano decenti quanto basta per poter vedere ciò che serve per arrivare ad una determinazione sicura. Se gli esemplari dovessero appartenere ad entrambe le specie ipotizzate, provvederò a scindere la discussione. Esemplare n° 1
