when been in Kalogria area this big buprestid, Chalcophora detrita (Klug, 1829), was one of the commonest beetle (at least in day time)... tens of specimens were buzzing around any fallen pine.

aslo a question: this will be ssp marani Obenberger, 1935 (like is reported in Muhle, Brandl & Niehuis, 2000)?
