I have never seen this species!
There are at least 30 species of Trachys and 13 of Habroloma in Madagascar, and I think to have seen none of them! Could you take a better picture of the prothorax, so we can understand if it is Trachys or Habroloma?

Im sorry, I cant make nother picture, specimen is in collectio of my friend 150 km far ...
I think, its some new Habroloma (scutellum is good visible), also another specimen from same expedition in Southern Madagascar:

Sorry Ilja, but the main character to split Habroloma from Trachys is the presence or not of a dimple near the front corner of prothorax, and in the first specimen it's not possible to see if this dimple there is or not. Too many hair! I just have a feeling that it could be a Habroloma, but I can't be sure, without other photos!
The second one is surely another species, and it seems to be a Trachys sp.

Ok, I will lone this two specimen by my friend, and we can make quality differencial diagnosis with detail photos...

- It was a very good expedition to South of Madagascar, Ive got also a new Acmaeodera, and some new genus near Phlocteis by the way (in description - Bellamy) etc...
