Chrysobothris (s.str.) affinis affinis (Fabricius, 1794)

So, - maybe very common buprestid species for everyone..... :?

When I was a young boy, and I was started with collecting Jewel Beetles in my home surroundings, one nice spring day I observed adults of Ch.affinis flighting about big heap on oak wood...
When was flying - was tyrkyse green, and when was settled to wood - was invisible....
After collecting, I prepared one specimen in "fly stance" - to I can see a whole time his beautiful tyrkyse abdomen...
This specimen I have still in my collection, and I remember to that sunny day a lot of time after, when I collect my first buprestids.....
:ok:
