Other two specimens where probably found during the last years, but from incertain localities. Few years ago I found in Rome a Prunus avium with holes probably belonging to this species, but it was not possible to cut it (it was in a garden!) |

I found it flying rapidly around a Prunus avium canopy. I have recognized a buprestid in flight, but I thought it is a Ptosima. Try to look around of the canopy in the midday time in a sunny day in may-june. I found another one on a leaf of Prunus mahaleb. Its silhouette was visible through the translucence of the leaf. So look in and around the canopy. |
