This specimen shows a quite strange colour! It's the only one or do you have a series with these colours? |

I will take another picture with this specimen, trying with a better resolution. The pronotum and scutellar area are really more blueish than usual, but the red part of the elytra should to be darker than in the picture. I am still training this method. I just got a Nikon D3100 and a macro lens Tamron 90mm. I have used the entire macro tube set with the lens. I could not get a ratio bigger than 2:1 and the camera is trembling on the tripod. The lens has not a screw system for the tripod, so the only camera contact with the tripod head is very excentric. My bigger problem is the software Nikon Camera Control is not updated for Nikon D3100. I only can use tether shots with Apple Aperture, but I cannot see the subject directly on the screen, I hope the future updates of NCC will add this function. And another issue of this camera is it turns the LifeView off when is connected with a computer through the USB. Unfortunately I have a severe hypermetropia and I cannot rearrange my specimens. All of the Anthaxia bicolor and A. salicis have the right colors. |
