Questo mi è sfarfallato nel V-2011 da un tronco secco di faggio preso a Sefro (Macerata).
Si riesce a determinare???
Dimensioni: 8,5mm

I dare to think it is an Agrilus (Agrilus) viridis (Linnaeus, 1758), but the picture is not so accurate. Try to use a light diffuser (I am using an single use glass those I have cut its bottom). The light reflected makes impossible to see if it has hairs on elytra or the real sculpture of the pronotum. Anyway, I think 80% it is a viridis. |

The host-plant (Fagus), the size (8,5mm) and the pronotum more golden than the elytra made me to have that identification. Unfortunately, the elytra are a little spread, so it is hard to see the shape of the apex. |

Concordo con Adrian sulla necessità di fotografare gli Agrilus in luce diffusa, altrimenti è difficile, se non impossibile, distinguere i caratteri necessari alla determinazione. |
