No, it is not A. fulgurans, because I don't see big punctures in the apical area, it can be a male of: 1 - Anthaxia (Anthaxia) thalasophila Abeile de Perin, 1900; 2 - Anthaxia (Anthaxia) podolica Mannerheim, 1837. To can recognise the males of these 2 species need to see the antennae, which are broken or, to know the distribution in Italy. I never saw a real thalasophila but pictures only, because it is not present in my country's fauna. Julodis will give a better answer, I dont know the distribution in Italy. |

Anthaxia (Anthaxia) thalassophila thalassophila (Abeille de Perrin, 1900) è forse l'Anthaxia più comune in centro Italia, a differenza della affine fulgurans, che pur non essendo rara è decisamente meno frequente. Inoltre di solito quest'ultima specie è più precoce. A luglio - agosto di questo gruppo di Anthaxia da noi si trova praticamente solo la thalassophila |
