Belionota (Pseudobelionota) lineatopennis Solier 1833

Unico rappresentante di questo sottogenere. E' anche il più grande Buprestidae "Chrysobothrinioide" (copiando un termine di Bellamy) della Fauna africana.
Da notare il caratteristico profilo tipico di tutte le Belionota.

Nelle Belionota ho notato che gli occhi sono particolarmente estesi, questo carattere si nota anche in altri generi?

Gli occhi sono molto sviluppati un po' in tutti i Buprestidi, ma effettivamente lo sono praticolarmente nei Chrysobothrini e negli Actenodini (a quest'ultima tribù appartiene anche il genere Belionota).

Ho finalmente deciso di sistemare un po' delle bestie esotiche comprate, scambiate o ricevute in vari modi, che stanno in attesa in contenitori vari da un tempo che va da diversi anni a questi ultimi mesi. Mi sono ripromesso di farne un paio al giorno, e alcune di queste le fotograferò per il Forum, prima di metterle in collezione.
