Ho qui un Acmaeoderino che mi hanno inviato recentemente dall'Oman, e che non riesco a determinare. Qualcuno è in grado di farlo? Credo che sia pane per i denti della nostra amica Ilja Trojan (Acmaeodera). Dear Ilja, this is a request of help especially directed to you. Are you able to identify this species I got from Oman? A prima vista sembrerebbe una Xantheremia, ma non ne sono affatto sicuro. C'è qualcuno di voi che ha raccolto in Oman? |

Acmaeodera (Cobosiella) sp. nova Volkovitsh,2010..."More of heads much more knows"..... Maurizio might of some beautiful blonde girl, and used for photo a new species name Acmaeodera (C.) glebi, Volkovitsh,2010  Okay, here is fresh cuted picture of Acmaeodera (C.) glebi from India:

Sorry Ilja, I think to have done a little confusion between the name of species you wrote me and the name of species in the publication you sent me! But I am just now thinking that perhaps it's not good to wrote here the name of an unpublished (so, virtually undescribed) species! (the same also for the other Acmaeodera from Oman).

Yes, You´re right, - but its possible in Petrograd ZIN, that Mark´s new descriptions are finished since last year, and still waiting for print only... Its the same as with europaean species Acmaeodera (Acmaeotethya) degener degener and A.(A.)octodecimguttata octodecimguttata - Im using this correct names, but Im still waiting for Mark´s revision of this group... Each species have also ssp., so problem with determinations is bigger.. (Acmaeodera (A.) degener mlokossiewiczi, Acmaeodera (A.) octodecimguttata quattuordecimpunctata) I must use this every 4 valid names for many determinations between entomologists, but serious revision of this group doesn´t exist...

Mi sono permesso di sostituire il nome della specie in via di descrizione con "sp. nova". Il nome sarà conservato in area "protetta" fino a che non ne sarà possibile l'utilizzo. Ciao Roberto
