Anthaxia (Anthaxia) hackeri Frivaldszky, 1884 Croazia 7,2 mm Specie vivente dall'Italia fino alla Turchia, a nord dall'Austria, alla Rep. Ceca, Slovacchia, Ungheria, fino alla Romania. In Italia è nota per sporadici rinvenimenti in diverse regioni dal Piemonte fino alla Basilicata. E' legata a varie specie di olmo, in cui si sviluppa la larva. L'adulto non è floricolo, ma si trova sul fogliame della pianta ospite L'esemplare in foto, cartellinato solo con "Croatia", deve essere stato raccolto in tempi lontani, a giudicare dal tipo di cartellino e da come è scritto, e determinato direttamente dallo specialista Bily

I myself found Anthaxia hackeri in 2007 in Hungary after around 100 years. The next year we found a few more localities all over Hungary. In every case they were associated with Ulmus laevis. We have never found it in other Ulmus species.
