Io si, ma fino a settembre scorso non ero mai riuscito a trovarne una da poter comprare senza dissanguarsi! E andarle a prendere di persona, ovviamente, non se ne parla, per ora. |

It seems to belong to the subgenus Ancylocheira upon the former tibiae of the males. I am not sure if is the normal habitus or this specimen had some issues when it emerged. |

Bella bestia, con un aspetto un po' inconsueto, forse un po' "corta" rispetto ai buprestidi più comuni. A cosa deve il suo pregio: solo all'aspetto o a una distribuzione particolare?

It's the normal habitus. I have another male, and it is quite identical. Yes, it belongs to the subgenus Ancylocheira. Probabilmente solo al fatto che vive in Cina, dove fino a non molti anni fa era quasi impossibile, per gli europei, andare a raccogliere. E' citato di Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai, Sichuan, Xizang, Yunnan. In pratica, la zona montuosa della Cina, dal lato Nord-orientale dell'Himalaya, al Tibet, fin quasi al confine con la Mongolia. |
