This specimen of Agrilus (Spiragrilus) I caught it on Quercus leaves, now I think it accidentally landed. It is a female, so I do not have an aedeagus. About 6 mm length.

Dalla foto sembrerebbe non avere la carinula preomerale, quindi tenderei ad escludere possa trattarsi di un solieri, che oltrettutto ha una colorazione decisamente più brillante e rameica. Tenderei a includerlo nel gruppo dell'hyperici*, anche se è un po' diverso da quelli che si incontrano da noi. Se invece Adrian mi conferma che l'es. ha la carinula preomerale, allora mi rimangio tutto. * il gruppo hyperici è ancora tutto da scoprire, determinate come tali qui in Italia ci sono almeno due specie differenti, se non tre. |

No, the prehumeral carinula is not present, I see just a very little track but it not touches the posterior angle of the pronotum. The color is not that bright as it is in A. hyperici. I will take a more detailed picture of the posterior angles of the pronotum next days. |

Yes, unfortunately it is a female and I found it on Quercus leaves (I suppose accidentally landed). |

I took 3 pics of the posterior angles of the pronotum: right angle with light from one side, left angle with light from one side, left angle with light from all 3 lamps. I hope the images are good. Yesterday, when I was looking through the stereomicroscope I thought they are not carinulae, but now I see some small ones. |

Yes Adrian, now the premarginal carinulae are well visible, contrary to the first pictures. The form of these carinulae is characteristic of Agrilus solieri. Also the color of the last pictures is more cupreous and not bronze. In conclusion, my opinion is that the specimen is Agrilus solieri. Cordially Gian |

Thank you. This is what I thought too. I have to rethink the way of taking pictures, maybe I will use less diffusers or different intensity of light to make the structure more visible. |
