Cyphogastra sp.

Questo esemplare non l'ho ancora determinato, ma volevo mostrarvi quanto alcune specie di Cyphogastra meritino il nome comune, dato dagli anglofoni, di Jewel Beetles.

This is one of the most spectacular genus. Too bad, I have no specimen in my collection, yet.

In my opinion, this is one of the most interesting genus of Buprestidae. Unluckily it needs a revision; I think the last one was in the Monographie des Buprestides by Kerremans, over 100 years old.
About half of "species" in my collection are unidentified.
