4 mm (rostro escluso)
In Italia è segnalato solo di poche località in Alto Adige. In collezione non possiedo nessun esemplare italiano. La larva si sviluppa nei fiori maschili di conifere, soprattutto Pinus sylvestris. Gli adulti compaiono (probabilmente per periodi molto brevi) in corrispondenza della fioritura. Anche per questa specie l'ibernazione avviene come larva nel terreno.
