Lunghezza 15 mm. Purtroppo l'esemplare è un po' vecchiotto e ha perso della sua folta peluria chiara.

Si, è lei :ok:
L'unica specie con la quale potrebbe, a prima vista, confondersi, è la Dasymutilla gloriosa (Saussure, 1868) (vedi questa immagine).
Ma in D. gloriosa il tegumento è rossiccio e la lunga peluria bianca ricopre tutte le zampe ed il corpo, anche ventralmente.
In D. sackenii invece il tegumento è interamente nero e la pubescenza bianca non è presente nella parte sternale e sulle zampe che sono ricoperte da setole nere.
Qui puoi vedere tutta una serie di immagini di D. sackenii (maschio e femmina), compresa questa che ne mostra la parte sternale.
