What is the status of Agrotis puta and A.catalaunensis? I am wondering whether they are separate species and how they can be distinguished? The photos are from last spring in Catalunya, Spain. Any advice welcome! Matthew

the two species are very similar :oooner:

and I do not know the differential characters, but ...

... according FaunaEur, Agrotis catalaunensis (Milliere, 1873) = syricola Berio, 1936, is not present in Spain
