Hello Matthew, I think the second photo depicts Scotopteryx peribolata (Hübner, [1813]) but is very spoiled and then I'm not sure ![]() |

Dear Claudio, I think you might be right! I have looked in the plates in Leraut's book on geometridae of Europe and it is quite close to ssp. culoti found in Spain. Thank you. Matthew |

Regarding the first photo, I think might be a few individuals belonging to the genus Euphyia sp. or Xanthorhoe sp. - Geometridae Larentiinae, wing pattern with a little abnormal. I found a vague resemblance to a specimen present here(simply prepared), this is Euphyia adumbraria, but I do not know 'if the species is present in Spain ![]() Let's see if Paolo or Raniero go around here to give us their views ![]() |

Per quello che può valere (non so quanto sia aggiornata), questa è la mappa di distribuzione di Euphyia adumbraria secondo FAUNAEUR. La Spagna è comunque lontana dall'areale.

I've just had confirmation from Victor Redondo in Spain that the top picture is of Nebula ibericata (with the English name "Spanish cloud") ![]() |
