Hello, I found this bug on Epilobium hirsutum, therefore I suspect Dicyphus epilobii: Am I right? Best regards Grzegorz |

Proportion between the length of the second antennal segment and the width of the pronotum is 1 (which is 1,25 in the D.epilobii) |

And I agree with you, but I was not sure. D. epilobii belongs to Dicyphus errans in Wagner's key and I forgot that D. hyalinipennis feeds on Epilobii too. Thanks one more time ![]() |

Hello, I wrote to specialist of thid group and now I know that in this case we cannot be sure what species is it. Wagner's key is based on metric features. It could be another species of Dicyphus. To be absolutely sure I have to find a male. When I find him and confirm this species, it will be new species for Poland ![]() Best regards Grzegorz |

Of course,in any Dicyphus species the examination of male genitalia is very necessary to be sure. Well if it is D.hyalinipennis, you are lucky to find a new species for the fauna of Poland. |

I was just surprised when I saw your name in that publication ![]() http://www.researchgate.net/publication ... corinae%29 Two years ago my knowledge about Miridae was very small. I checked my notes from that time and I found big question: "is it possible it is a new species?". In that time I started translate french keys to Miridae and studied this family. And I forgot about this Deraeocoris. Therefore I thank you for this message ![]() I wrote to my promoter from Opole University and ask him about possibility of making short publication about this event ![]() Best regards Grzegorz |

I am writing a manuscript and I will give the records of 11 new species for the fauna of Turkey. While I was doing some researchs related to my manuscript I discovered that D.flavilinea which I commonly find around my home is actually a new species for the fauna of Turkey. It seems that it is commonly forgotton that D.flavilinea is newly spreading species throughout Europe. Also A.Carapezza hadn't (possibly) realized that it is new for Poland while confirming the identificaton. I found my first D.flavilinea at the wall of my house in 2011 and identified it correctly but I first realized 4 years later that it is new for the fauna of Turkey. ![]() |
