Ciao,

Grazie

No this is the other species:

Mantispa aphavexelthe Aspöck U. & Aspöck H., 1994 (anyway the taxonomy and the systematic of Mantispidae is very complex)

In Italy it is quite rare but I know that in Bulgaria it is the most common species of mantispid.

In that case what is wrote in Kiss monography on romanian monography os wrong (I see that this species was described long after the publication of that book).
And this is now a new name in Romanian fauna. Hope this year will reach the area and will collect some to have also specimens.

Grazie,
cosmln

p.s. some neuroptera were left for you "neuropterologists" at Entomodena (some pinned and couple of tens in alcohol, I think are in Loris hands)

In reality, the taxonomy of this species is very complex and controversial; it was already known at the time of the excellent Kis's monograph but it was confused. I have not the book with me but if I remember well the species illustrated under Mantispa perla in Kis's book actually is M.aphavexelthe.

:hi:

p.s. thank for the Neuroptera, unfortunately at the last Entomodena we weren't able to come.
