TropistesDet. of Species :
[see

The Genus contains 5 European species :
burakowskii,
scoticus,
falcatus,
nitidipennis &
hebraicator.
** The 2 first species differ from others by their length ≤ 4 mm and the shape of their third antennal segments.
** I consider that
hebraicator is not a “good species”, because :
The description of Aubert is insufficient & the distinction of coloring with nitidipennis is vague.
Even the Ovipositors does not allow to distinguish distinctly hebraicator & nitidipennis
** Thus 2 species to be considered :
- nitidipennis with Coxae black
- falcatus with Coxae red
(Remark : The color of Tegulae does not separate these 2 sp.)
