ATTENTION : This key must be revised, because Enicospilus must be redefined

It is a question here of differentiating the genera of Ichneumonidae of France & Italia, which have :
The areolet of the right forewing is open on the left and the abdomen compressed (Its segments 3 & 4 deeper than wide)
They belong exclusively at Subfamilies :
- Ophioninae (all genera)
- Anomalinae (Anomalon & Gravenhorstia)
- Campopleginae (Hellwigia restored today in the Ophioninae)
In general they all are almost mainly of orange color, of where the difficulty of differentiating them.

We seldom captured these Ichneumonidae, because they are often crepuscular or nocturnal (in particular the Ophioninae).
Thus I have only the photos of :
- 1 Ophion sp.
- 1 Eremotylus sp.
- Hellwigia obscura that I already sent on this forum, see viewtopic.php?f=104&t=29074
One will find in addition on this forum : Enicospilus sp. , see viewtopic.php?f=176&t=28380&p=158025&hilit=enicospilus#p158025
On the Net, I did not find photo clearly showing the wings of Anomalon, Gravenhorstia, Hellwigiella or Stauropoctonus.

For Hellwigiella dichromoptera picture you can look at Scaramozzino work: "Note sul genere Hellwigiella Szépligeti (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae)" - 1989 - Bollettino del Museo regionale di Scienze naturali di Torino 7(2). I can send you a copy if you need it.

For Stauropoctonus bombycivorus try to see at American Entomological Institute site. Anyway this genus is easily distinguishable in Europe for the presence of a thorn on second trochanter of middle and hind legs.

Gravenhorstia picta is impossible to confuse with Anomalon, cos it's a quite big yellow-black banded ichneumon !

2 - Stauropoctonus bombycivorus : I know the American Entomological Institute site, but the wings are not illustrated.
On the other hand, I thank you for the indication on the trochantellus (2nd trochanters, I think ?) .
3 - Gravenhorstia picta : Thank you for the indications on the color for the species.
