Capture in Cne Pontoise (France - Dépt. Val-d'Oise) on 08 VIII 1995 Det. JP Balmer --------- Biblio. (main) : - Fitton & aii. 1988 - see https://www.royensoc.co.uk/sites/defaul ... Part01.pdf - Shaumar 1967 - see https://www.persee.fr/doc/linly_0366-13 ... _36_2_5894
Habitus and photos on the Net. ==> Pimplinae - Mesoscutum not covered with sharp transverse ridges (I was not able to make any correct photo) - Epicnemial carina present (I was not able to make any correct photo) - Areolet not petiolate (if not : gen. Diacritus) - Mesopleural furrow not angled opposite episternal scrobe (I was not able to make any correct photo) - Ovipositor tip straight (if not : gen. Apechthis) - Tarsus 3 with segment 2 just shorter or equal or longer than segment 5 (if distinctly shorter : gen. Itoplectis) ==> gen. Pimpla Our Capture has : - Abdomen entirely black - Coxae 2 & 3 red - Scutellum black Then, if we want to try to identify our capture with the keys of Fitton & Shaumar, we yield that the couplets of these 2 keys are not always separated logically (in particular for the color of Tibiae) Finally, we find that our capture is either arctica either spuria Being given the imprecision of keys involving the color of Tibiae and low relevance of the color of the hair of the face, we cannot separate the 2 sp. above without using the following dimensional characteristics : sp. arctica - Lg. of Body : 10/15 mm , Lg. of Forewing: 6.8/13.7 mm sp. spuria - Lg. of Body : 6/11 mm - Lg. of Forewing: 3.3/7.6 mm Of where the identification ------------ spuria was captured in Italy
