In the title of this Message, I added "(var ?)" because none sp. of Palearctic Apophua has the Legs so clear (they have in particular the Tibiae 3 mainly or entirely black) The only ones having the Legs 3 clear, as notre capture, are species not Palearctic ================================================== Capture in Cne Roussillon-en-Morvan (France - Dépt. Saône-et- Loire) on 26 IX 2014 At the place there is a cold micro-climate which is the same that the one who dominated 5000 years ago Det. JP Balmer ========== Biblio (main) : - Brock 2017 : The Banchinae Wasps ... in "RES vol. 7 Part 4" - Morley 1914 : A revision of the Ichneumonidae ... - Part. III - p. 115 - Schmiedeknecht 1906/1908 : Opuscula Ichneumonologica - Fasc. 15 (on the Net, see with http://www.biodiversitylibrary.org) ------------------ Let us examine the drawings that are present in the keys that we send on our Forum, entitled : ... Adaptation for the ♂ & ♀ (of France & Italy) of the subFamilies's Key contained in "The Genera of Ichneumonidae" of H. Townes ... Given the characteristic aspect of the surface of Tergites 3 & 4, we find very quickly that our capture is a Banchinae Then, by going to viewtopic.php?f=104&t=54322&hilit=+banchinae We find that the capture, is either an Apophua either a Glypta * Determination of Genus : - Tibia 1 with Spur reaching almost the middle of Basitarsus (see photo)
- All Coxae red (if black then sp. suturalis) - Tergite 3 not transverse (see photo) - Propodeum not carinated except the apical transverse Carina who is present (Regrettably, I was not able to make a correct photo of this important criterium) Of where the determination ========== The species is only known in Northern & Oriental Europe (neither in France, neither in Italy) The cold micro-climate in the zone of our capture explains maybe the presence of this species "relic" for France
