The Veins's characteristics of Wings (size & shape) and the surface's aspect of Thorax & Tergites, you allowes to identify the sub-Family of our capture : A part of the sub-Family of Pimplinae (Tribe Pimplini)

* You do not possess the 4 vol. of Townes,

You use the keys that we sent on our Forum, entitled :

and you find the sub-Family Pimplinae

Then you use Fitton & ... :
- Mesoscutum not covered with sharp transverse ridges
- Epicnemial carina present
- Areolet closed & not petiolate (if not : gen. Diacritus)
- Mesopleural furrow not angled opposite episternal scrobe
- Tarsus 3 with segment 2 just shorter or equal or longer than segment 5 (if distinctly shorter : gen. Itoplectis)
==> gen. Pimpla

Then you use Shaumar :
- Tibiae 3 red (except the apex), not ringed with white
- All Coxae black

==> sp. rufipes catturato in quasi tutta l'Europa continentale
