Ho fotografato oggi questa splendida libellula sulle rive del leggendario fiume Jato, che con le sue acque ha dissetato nei secoli greci, romani, arabi, spagnoli, francesi, tedeschi.... Sulla specie sono abbastanza convinto: Onychogomphus forcipatus unguiculatus, come si nota osservando il triangolo anale formato da 3 cellule. |

To say what subspecies is will be needed a better view of anal appendages. From what I see in images this is a male of Onychogomphus forcipatus forcipatus (Linnaeus, 1758). On ssp unguiculatus the subterminal knob from the inferior appendages will be very visible being more or less perpendicular on the tip of appendage. cosmln |

La ssp. forcipatus ha la fascia 4 del torace più o meno continua. In questo esemplare si vede la quarta fascia toracica nettamente interrotta nel mezzo, che dovrebbe essere una caratteristica della ssp. unguiculatus |
